This policy explains how refunds and cancellations work for MyNiveshIQ's wallet-based, pay-per-analysis service. Please read this carefully before adding funds to your wallet.

1. How Billing Works
MyNiveshIQ uses a prepaid wallet system. You add funds to your wallet and each portfolio or stock analysis deducts a charge based on actual AI processing cost.
- Token-based pricing: Each analysis is charged based on the actual number of AI tokens consumed, converted to INR at the prevailing exchange rate with a service markup
- Minimum charge: ₹5 per analysis regardless of size
- Pre-deduction: An estimated amount is reserved from your wallet before analysis starts
- Post-analysis settlement: The exact actual cost is charged; any over-reservation is automatically refunded to your wallet
2. Free Trial
All new users receive 3 free portfolio analyses upon registration. No wallet balance or payment is required to use the free trial. Free trial credits are non-transferable and non-encashable.
3. Automatic Overpayment Refunds
If the estimated cost charged before an analysis exceeds the actual AI processing cost by more than ₹2, the difference is automatically credited back to your wallet immediately after the analysis completes. No action required from you.
4. Wallet Balance Refund
4.1 Eligible Refunds
You may request a refund of your unused wallet balance (balance not yet spent on analyses) in the following situations:
- You wish to close your account
- You added funds in error
- Service has been unavailable for an extended period due to our fault
- Account termination by MyNiveshIQ (full unused balance refunded)
4.2 Non-Refundable Items
- Charges for completed analyses — AI processing is irreversible once consumed
- Free trial credits — these have no monetary value
- Wallet balance below ₹10 (minimum refund threshold, due to payment gateway processing fees)
4.3 Refund Process

Submit a refund request
Email myniveshiq@gmail.com with subject "Wallet Refund Request" from your registered email address. Include your registered email and reason for refund.

Verification (1–2 business days)
We will verify your account, confirm your unused wallet balance, and send a confirmation email.

Refund processing (3–5 business days)
Refunds are processed back to your original payment method via Razorpay. UPI refunds are typically faster than card refunds.

Credit to your account (1–2 business days)
Your bank or payment provider will credit the refund. Total turnaround: up to 7 business days from approval.
5. Cancellation Policy
5.1 Cancelling a Running Analysis
Once an AI analysis has started processing, it cannot be cancelled mid-way. The full analysis cost will be charged upon completion.
5.2 Account Cancellation
You may cancel your MyNiveshIQ account at any time from the Profile settings page. Upon account deletion:
- All your data (broker connections, holdings, analysis history) is permanently deleted
- Any unused wallet balance above ₹10 will be refunded within 7 business days
- Completed analysis charges are non-refundable
6. Payment Failures
If a wallet recharge payment fails after your bank/card has been debited but your wallet was not credited:
- In most cases, the amount is automatically reversed to your account within 5–7 business days by Razorpay
- If not automatically reversed, please email us with your Razorpay payment ID for manual resolution
7. Dispute Resolution
For any billing disputes or concerns not covered by this policy, contact us at myniveshiq@gmail.com. We aim to resolve all disputes within 5 business days.
If you believe there has been an unauthorized charge, please contact us immediately. We take billing integrity seriously.
